Our Youth Minister, Michael Everett is responsible for the youth groups and training of our youth leaders. All of our Youth leaders are individually chosen from our young men and women who are committed Christians and who are committed to our youth program. They attend training sessions each week and comply with all of the State Government and Anglican Diocese of Sydney requirements for working with children.
Our youth groups cater for high school students and beyond. Young men and women are encouraged to learn the Bible, practise living as Christians and share with others the good news about Jesus Christ.
SALT
for Years 7 to 12
Fridays at 7:15 pm
A youth group for boys and girls in years 7 to 12. They meet during school terms at the St Paul's Moseley Street centre Fridays at 7:15pm. Games, activities, and Bible studies are a regular part of each week and special outings are often organised.
The youth also meet in small groups on Sunday Mornings and afternoons at either the Moseley Street centre or in the homes of leaders and members. After their afternoon groups the youth are provided with a simple dinner (cost $3) at 6:30pm and encouraged to stay for our church service at 7:15pm, which is specially geared to students and their parents.
After year 12 the youth move into the 18 Plus group. This is more of an adult group of both university students and young workers and is part of 7:15 church. As with all small groups at evening church, they meet weekly in someone's home, but they also have regular organised functions such as a weekend away, special outings and a formal Ball at the end of the year.
All of our youth are encouraged to join a small group where they will study the Bible together, pray for one another and be better able to develop closer friendships.
