Ministers


David Tyndall
Minister

David has been Rector of East Willoughby Anglican Church and then Normanhurst. He was the Director of the Archbishop's Olympic Games Task Force and one of the founders of Sports and Leisure Ministries. He is currently the Director of Chaplains and Pastoral Services of Hope Health Care.

David is also a keen sportsman. He played and refereed first grade rugby & played A grade cricket.
He is married to Ruth and has two adult sons. He has a Masters degree in Adult Education and his PhD thesis examined church's involvement in sport.

He leads the 7:45 a.m. Service and enjoys the challenge of encouraging older christians to grow in their committment to Christ and each other.



Heather Spicer
Women's Minister

Heather's family have attended St Paul's for many years. During this time they also attended St John's Doonside working as lay ministers helping with children's ministry, setting up structures and supporting the minister. Heather gave up full time teaching to attend Moore College and after completing a Diploma of Bible and Mission, she now oversees Women's Ministry at St Paul's and teaches at our regular Women's Bible Fellowship.

Heather is married to Ed, has two grown daughters and is the proud grandmother of four.



Gordon Cheng
Minister

Gordon Cheng has helped out with the Carlingford Church plant at Cumberland and is now the part-time leader of the 5.00 congregation at St Paul's.

For the other part of his time Gordon works with Matthias Media (www.matthiasmedia.com.au) writing books and Bible studies.

He is married to Fiona and is the father of the three most beautiful girls in Christendom, who will consider marriage to any young man who loves Jesus, can slay dragons, and quote Romans 1 from memory.



Leung Sung
Minister

Leung is the minister of the chinese church at 10:45am. He is married to Kitty with teenages son Justin and Terren. He and Kitty were youth leaders while in Hong Kong. After settling in Sydney from 1992, they continued to be active in children and youth work, also working in close contact with parents. Leung has finished Master of Divinity at Morling College in 2006.

Leung is interested in contextualisation of the gospel to Chinese culture. His pasion is to bring the gospel to the Chinese community around Carlingford area.

Leung lives in Epping and enjoys walking from home to church and vice versa.



Gary Koo
Minister

In 2007 Gary will continue to oversee Asian Church Carlingford but will now also be leading the ministry at 9 o'clock.

He will also be involved in the training of the 2nd year Ministry Trainees and continue to be involved in the training and equipping of those seeking to reach the Chinese community.

Gary is married to Pearl and has two children, Tomas and Annabel, and while his family loves the outdoors, Gary is also quite happy playing with anything that requires 240V.



Adrian Russell
Minister

Adrian is pastor of North Rocks Anglican Church, serving with a very faithful team there. He also helps out at 5 o'clock church.

Adrian has been a Christian for as long as he can remember but came to a deeper understanding of God's word and the significance of the cross of Christ when he got involved in Campus Bible Study at UNSW. He also met his wife Rowena and completed an arts degree in Philosophy during his time there.
He trained for ministry with MTS at UNSW and then at Moore Theological College.

Adrian and Row have four great children - Charlotte, William, James and Nicholas - who keep them busy! Adrian likes sport (especially cricket), reading, eating, laughing and crazy spontaneous road trips.



Bruce Hall
Minister

Bruce is the Senior Minister of St Paul's group of churches, and is responsible for its overall leadership and direction. He also leads 10.45am congregation. Bruce became a christian in the 1959 Billy Graham Crusade in Melbourne, trained at Moore Theological College and after some time as a bible teacher in Pakistan began ministry at Carlingford in 1983. Bruce is also involved with other responsibilities outside St Paul's, including an ongoing interest in engaging with Islam.

He is married to Rose and they have four adult children, a son-in-law and two daughters -in-law and four grandchildren. He is hoping to continue playing touch football until his grandson can play with him.



James Davidson
Minister

James joined the staff team in 2003 after 15 years of ministry in the parishes of Mosman, Carlton (Melbourne) and Mt Druitt/Minchinbury. James is leading Baulkham Hills North Anglican Church - the new church being planted in May at Baulkham Hills North Public School. He also pastors Cumberland Unichurch at Lidcombe which meets on Sunday evenings . James is on Western Sydney Regional Council and is the staff rep on the missionary committee at St Paul's.

He is married to Anna and they have 3 children, Kylie, Rachel and Sam. For relaxation, he enjoys watching cricket, going bushwalking , watching more cricket, reading and occasionally playing cricket.



Mike Everett
Minister

Mike thoroughly enjoys being the Youth Minister at St. Paul's Carlingford.
He sees the value in youth becoming disciples of the Lord Jesus and growing in their love and service of Him.
Mike also loves running youth groups that are full of fun, laughs and good times.
Key to the running of youth ministry at St. Paul's is an incredible team of youth leaders. Mike loves partnering these Christian men and women who give so much time and energy to serving youth in the area.

Mike has the privilege of assisting James Warren at the 7:15 congregation. This year he plans to preach through Philippians and 1 John at 7:15. Mike also counts it a privilege to spend some of his week training two fine young men for carreer minsitry. Daniel Presland and Sam Mak are MTS trainees and are two guys who are super keen to live for God and His glory.

Mike is married to Katrina and they have 3 boys, Joshua, Harrison and Liam. This makes home life pretty exciting and sometimes exhausting. An ideal free day for Mike will include going to the beach, hanging with family and friends, listening to music, playing or watching sport, eating good food and reading a good book.



James Warren
Minister

James loves being the senior pastor of 7fifteen Carlingford, helping to equip young adults and ‘Jedis’ (40+ers) to serve Christ more. Around St Paul’s, he oversees MTS (11 trainees),  staff conferences, parish wide evangelism and helps out at the other congregations (he loves being translated into Mandarin at CACC!) Outside St Paul’s, James teaches Apologetics for Moore Theological College evening lectures, mentors new ministers with Anglican Ministry Training & Development, and coordinates North West MTS. He also supports his wife Di in her leadership of EQUIP women and Women’s Katoomba Convention. James came to know Christ through privately reading a Bible in late High School. He studied Maths and Philosophy at the University of NSW and worked in importing, before re-training on MTS and at Moore Theological College. James is kept fit by Josh (10), Ben (8), and Emma (6). He enjoys the beach, running and bike riding.
