Our Mission

Our vision

We want to cooperate with God in his work of uniting all people under Christ and so build his church.

Our mission

As we eagerly await Christ's return

  • Evangelism - Introducing people to Jesus.
  • Encouragement - Strengthening and equipping our members for life and ministry.
  • Expansion - Working for the growth of the gospel beyond our local area.
  • Prayer - Joyfully depending on God for everything.

Our initial goal

With the rest of Sydney Diocese, to see at least 10% of Sydney regularly attending Bible-based churches by end 2012.
For St Paul's this means a fourfold increase in membership, from 1100 now to 4,500 in 2012, an increase of 3,400.

Our strategies

To pray - to call upon God for such an outpouring of his Spirit that we will be assured of his love through his word, seek to please the Saviour in all things, show the godly life, be filled with prayerful and sacrificial compassion for the lost in all the world.

To evangelise - to train, equip, nurture and enable our members to introduce people to Jesus, to take initiatives to penetrate the structures of our society with the gospel and to expand numerically by multiplying congregations and other platforms.

To encourage - to encourage, edify and equip our fellowships for service and to multiply the number of ministers employed full, part-time and voluntaril, lovingly dedicated to this work by the proclaiming of the gospel.

To expand - to expand the scope of our work, by participating in the Diocesan Mission, developing and supporting the work of the gospel beyond St Paul's. Specifically to multiply the number of people sent to train for full and part-time ministry beyond St Paul's.

To finance - to provide this vision with the necessary funds.
